How should I store my medication?
Cannabis should be stored in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight.

Cannabis Oils and Topicals can be kept in the fridge, however they will solidify at cold temperatures and will need to be warmed to room temperature before use.

Remember to keep all Cannabis products out of the reach of children.

Can I travel with medical cannabis
Travelling with medical cannabis is permitted within Canada. Be sure to carry your registration documentation and store your cannabis in its original prescription bottle. If you’re flying, call the airline ahead of time to ensure you won’t run into any security delays.
What does the product label mean when it shows CBD vs. Total CBD and THC vs. Total THC?
All Licensed Producers, under the Cannabis Regulations, are required to indicate both the actual potency (CBD and THC) and the potential potency (Total CBD and Total THC) on the product label. This is label information only and does not indicate a change to the products’ potency. The actual potency (THC and CBD) is the percentage of cannabinoids that the dried cannabis possesses as it occurs in its original dried state (i.e. – if you were to consume a dried cannabis bud without heating it). In order to activate the inactive cannabinoids (CBD-A and THC-A) and to get the full potential potency (Total CBD and Total THC) of the cannabis product, dried cannabis must be decarboxylated. Decarboxylation occurs when dried cannabis flower is heated through vaporization, smoking or cooking thereby converting the THC-A to THC and CBD-A to CBD.
How do I know what strain I need?
Each strain has a variety of active ingredients that produce different effects, specifically the THC and CBD levels. Speak with your prescribing doctor about your unique situation.
Registration
Is my original Medical Document required?

Cannabis Regulations requires all patients have their Medical Document sent directly through their Health Practitioner or Medical Cannabis clinic by secure fax at 1-905-481-4397.

If my prescription is expired, am I still ok if I get stopped by law enforcement?

No. Your WPCP Ltd. patient label is only valid during the exact same time frame that your medical document is valid. To prevent expiration and avoid a renewal gap, please make sure you renew your medical document with your physician as soon as possible. To find a physician click here.

Can I change licensed producers?

Yes, you can transfer your Medical Document from WPCP Ltd. to another Licensed Producer (or vice-versa). To do so please email or write to us letting us know, and confirm which producer you would like your documents to be sent to.
